American Art Deco sterling silver box, ca 1930. Boat-form with straight sides and upturned ends. Hinged and inset cover same as is finial to which is mounted cast figure of an elephant, a joyful beast with upturned trunk and gaping mouth. Box interior cedar-lined and partitioned.
