George V crystal match strike with sterling silver collar. Made by A & J Zimmerman Ltd in Birmingham in 1914. Globular with fine horizontal ribbing. Well has flat and plain sterling silver collar. Crystal is clear. A Victorian design dating from the year a great big metaphorical match was struck leading to World War I. Silver fully marked. Very good condition.
