French Restauration Classical silver decanter set, ca 1825. Round well; sides open with fruiting grapevine and beaded rim. Double ring frame inset with four large and four small rings; four monopodium swan supports. Frame center mounted with upward tapering column and cast finial in form of kneeling putto with raised arms supporting fruit bowl balanced on head. Egg-and-dart, leaf-and-dart, gadrooning, and beading. Four ball supports. With: Four clear glass bottles with ball stoppers. Cut ornament including egg-and-dart bands and fluted leaves. Silver marks include Paris 950-fineness stamp and guarantee stamp, which were both introduced in 1819, as well as makers stamp (Desiree Toussaint Legrand). Very good condition.
