English sterling silver and enamel snuffbox commemorating the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, 1981. Rectangular with straight sides, curved corners, and engine turned underside. Cover hinged with scrolled tab; on top are enameled portraits of the bride in ruffled blouse and the groom in army uniform. Each is in a separate oval frame looking off into the distance. A poignant depiction of a couple under the strain of compulsory romance. Fine detail down to the brides blue eyeshadow. Gilt interior. Leather-bound case with fitted velvet and silk lining.
