Pair of Chrysanthemum sterling silver gravy boats. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1885. Each: Bellied and lobed oval bowl with helmet mouth, loop handle, and four splayed volute-scroll supports. turned-down rim applied with alternating flowerheads and leaves; bold flowerheads wrapped around handle and mounted to supports. Early pieces in this pattern, which was first produced in 1880. Fully marked including makers stamp, pattern no. 5715, and directors letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.
