Olympian sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round with deep well and reeded rim; low-relief shoulder with dense leafing scrollwork, cornucopias, vases, and masks. A rare piece of hollowware in the historic Beaux-Arts pattern that was introduced on flatware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1878.
